CAROL BETH HUNTINGTON CANNON
(1933–2017)
Carol Beth Huntington Cannon, our beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away at age 83 on November 15, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Carol was born December 26, 1933 to George Ross Huntington and Melville Jane Ryther in Salt Lake City. She lived most of her childhood in The Avenues neighborhood and graduated from East High School. For many years, Carol was a professional genealogist, and enjoyed researching the histories of her own and others’ families. A faithful member of the LDS Church, Carol’s unconditional devotion to her family, loyalty to lifelong friends, and strong moral compass were an example to all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her bright smile, creativity, and generosity will be greatly missed, but her love will endure in the hearts of her family and friends.
Carol had been married to, and was later divorced from Clyde Middleton, Ralph M. Evans, and Theodore L. Cannon Jr. She is survived by her children, Mark A. Evans, Pamela K. Evans Bond, and Daniel H. Evans; and her stepchildren, Theodore L. Cannon III (Rosie), Christopher H. Cannon (De), Alison Cannon Graham (Craig), Elizabeth Cannon Wayman (Alan), Diana Rae Cannon Ragsdale (Kelly), and Melissa Cannon Fuller (Todd). She was blessed with 37 grandchildren and 68 great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings Susan Huntington Underwood and Steven E. Huntington. Carol is preceded in death by her daughter Debra Lynn Hansen, sister Joyce Rae Huntington Cannon, and brother George Gary Huntington.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20th at 11:00 AM at Salt Lake Central First Ward, 760 E. 700 South, Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30–10:30 AM. Interment at Salt Lake City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.
