Carol Lee Cordon-Allred, 60, passed away May 12, 2023 in her home in Layton, Utah. Carol was born July 13, 1962, to Richard and Fosteen Cordon, in Ogden, Utah. She had an older brother, Orland, who passed away in 2019.
Carol grew up in Layton, Utah and continued to raise her children there. She went to Layton High School and graduated in 1980. She first met Kerry Kimball and had two children together, Michelle and Heather. They later divorced and she then met Bruce Allred, who already had a daughter, Kristi, from a previous marriage. Bruce was the love of her life. They married August 25, 1990, in Layton, Utah, where we became a family of five. Bruce was later diagnosed with ALS in May 2013, and he passed in August 2013. She spent those times dedicated to taking care of him.
Carol had her struggles, mentally and physically, throughout her life, but she is now free from those pains and suffering and has joined her love in heaven. While on this earth, her grandchildren were so much of her life. She loved to sew, which involved making dresses and bows for her granddaughters, find new recipes to bake, and photography. She started her business, CL Allred Photography, which involved a lot of landscaping pictures. She also loved her two yorkies: Jasper, who passed in 2022, and Sadie, and would take them on many drives up the mountains to take pictures.
Towards the end of her life, Carol worked as a cashier associate at RC Willey’s in Layton, Utah. She loved her job. She loved the interaction with the customers, and she loved her manager, Robin. Robin was there for her every day and had many deep conversations with her. Carol’s family would love to thank Robin for everything she did for her, and along with everyone at RC Willey.
Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce F Allred, parents, Richard and Fosteen (Simmons) Cordon, brother, Orland Cordon, niece, Amy Allred, and sister-in-law, Malinda Allred. She is survived by her children, Michelle (Tyler) Argyle in Bern, Idaho, Kristine (James) Holbrook, in Lynn Haven, Florida, and Heather (Jacob) Cornia, in Syracuse, Utah. Along with her six grandchildren, father and mother-in-law, Ace and Phyllis Allred, three brothers in law, one sister-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
