Carol Fruin

Carol Spackman Fruin

June 24, 1927 ~ February 27, 2015

Carol was born to Jacob and Atta Parry Spackman in North Ogden, UT.  Attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from the University of Utah in Elementary Education. Was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma.

Married Robert M. Fruin on August 31, 1950. Taught for 21 years in Special Education in Ogden and Granite School District in Salt Lake.

Loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, reading, playing bridge, and traveling.  Especially enjoyed the ten years she and Bob spent winters in Oceanside, CA.  Was a member of the Junior League, Delta Kappa Gamma, and PEO.

Her challenges were never as great as her capacity to stay positive.

Survived by her sons, Jerry, John (Cindy) and grandchildren, Ben and Leigh.

Preceded in death by her parents; a very special step-father, George Rasmussen; daughter, Dolly; and her husband, Robert.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
