Carol Margaret Chadwick Harris slipped from this life into the next in the early morning of Monday, July 11, 2011.

She was born on Father''s Day June 19, 1949 to LaCelle Dale and Evelyn Mae Broadbent Chadwick in Ogden, Utah.

She was the second of six daughters to bless their home. Mom spoke often of a happy childhood and was blessed to live next to both sets of her grandparents. Later two brothers and a sister completed her family. Mom grew up in Ogden and graduated from Weber State College with her Registered Nursing Degree. Her compassionate personality made it easy to care for others.

She married Alfred Verle Harris on September 14, 1973, in Ogden, Utah. Alfred passed away April 29, 1999. Alfred and Carol were sealed for time and all eternity on March 18, 2006 in the Bountiful Utah Temple.

She is survived by her children, Amy (Phillip) Jones, and Chad (Tia) Harris and seven grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Baylee, Hannah, and Jacob Jones; Jaycee, Jaylee, and Tatum Harris, sisters Ellen (Larry) Ogan, Lee Dale (Clair) Mildon, Julie (Bob) Martin, Paula (Andrew) Smith, brother Larry Chadwick, sister-in-law Pam (Grant) Averett, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, step-mother Brenda, sisters Jan and Jill, and brother Brad.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Banbury Ward, 1350 So. 1800 W., Syracuse. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.

Mom was an example of selfless love and service. Until we meet again, we love you MOM.
