Carol Crockett Kelly

Our wonderful and beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Carol Irene Crockett Kelly passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 18, 2009, at the age of 86.

She was born October 1, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to David and Pearl Holm Crockett.

Carol graduated from East High School and the University of Utah, where she earned a Bachelors Degree with highest honors.

On May 6, 1946, she married Eugene Lyle Kelly in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was preceded in death by her beloved Gene and their first child, David John Kelly, who died several hours after birth.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Eileen (Del) Lewis, and three sons, Jerry (Nancy) Kelly, Thomas (Kathleen) Kelly, Robert Kelly; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

We will miss her keen mind, her sense of humor and her tender and loving heart. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss the many compliments she so warmly gave to them. We express gratitude to the wonderful caregivers of Access Home Care, with very special thanks to Vladimir Diaz for the loving, extraordinary care he gave to Mom. We also express love and gratitude to Bob for all that he did for Mom for so many years.

In honoring Mom''s request, the family will hold a private family graveside service.
