Carol Parker Kennah
Carol Parker Kennah, 73, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2009. She was born December 1, 1935, in Ogden, Utah to Edna Wyatt and William R. Parker, and grew up in Kaysville, Utah.
Carol earned a nursing degree from Weber College and worked as a skilled R.N. for more than 25 years. Carol was a talented pianist, played the flute, and enjoyed a range of interests including reading, gardening, decorating, needlework, and travel. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
During her husband''s 20 year Air Force career, Carol traveled to military assignments in France and throughout the United States, finally settling in Arizona.
Carol is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Richard B. Kennah; and four children: L. Jill Jacoby of Provo, Utah; Cory P. Kennah (Roxanne) of Layton, Utah; Leslie C. Merkle (Patrick) of Washington, DC; and Andra Kennah Sneckenburg (Mark) of Boca Raton, Florida.
She was preceded in death by one son Vincent P. Kennah; one brother, Roy W. Parker; and one sister, Pauline. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three sisters and one sister-in-law: Yvonne Sandberg, Adeline Parkin, Rosalie Hazeldine, and Joyce Parker.
Graveside services will be held Monday, July 13, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Kaysville City Cemetery. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main.
