Carol Ann Reesor
January 19, 1935 ~ March 11, 2017
Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
Mom was born on January 19, 1935 to Bayard and Florence Mendenhall in Los Angeles, California. She was raised in Salt Lake City and attended East High school. She also attended the University of Utah.
At the age of thirteen, mom took piano lessons from Grant Johannesen, an American concert pianist. She was later employed as a pianist for dance at the McCune Mansion in Salt Lake City.
Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a beautiful pianist. She played the piano for the Primary for 27 years. She volunteered as an organist during church services and donated a great amount of her time as an accompanist.
Mom married our dad, Gilbert Reesor, on February 24, 1956. Together they raised six girls in Washington Terrace.
Mom devoted her life to her family. She loved all of us unconditionally and she was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Carol is survived by her daughters: Kathleen Reesor, Christine Cover, Marianne (Joseph) O’Keefe, Leslie (Matthew) Rodriguez, Michelle (Brian) Johnson and Denielle (Lance) Hinds; 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and sister, Janet (Ben) Mangum. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gilbert Reesor; son-in-law, Joseph Wm O’Keefe, Jr.; and grandchildren; Meghan O’Keefe and Kerry Thorsted.
We would like to thank Peach Tree Place for the loving care of our mother over the last ten years.
