Carol Rose (Johnson) Robins was born on March 14, 1932, in Middletown, Connecticut to Carl Hilding Johnson and Alice Eve Rose Johnson. Carol passed peacefully of natural causes, on July 31, 2023 at her home in Layton, Utah at the age of 91, surrounded by her loved ones
Carol grew up in Cromwell Connecticut, with brothers Dave, Herb and sister Arlene. She graduated from Middletown High school in 1950, and soon thereafter joined the Air Force, serving until 1953. She served during the Korean conflict as a Communications Specialist,
achieving the rank of Airman First Class. She was proud to be called a WAF, Woman in the Air Force, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
She married Dee C. Robins in 1953 and moved to Kaysville Utah. There she worked at H.A.F.B. and had two sons. After raising her boys, she earned her BA in Office Administration, Cum Laude from Weber State in 1973. She worked as a Comptroller at a large construction company
for 30 years.
She retired and moved to Florida, and fulfilled her dream of traveling abroad. She visited Europe, Australia, China and much of Asia. Carol’s hobbies included knitting, sewing, gardening, collecting stamps, Barbies and coins. Carol was a lifelong lover of animals,
particularly cats.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and her bothers David and Herb. Carol is survived by her two sons Jeffrey D. (Connie), Clay C. (Denise) Robins and her sister Arlene Johnson of New Brunswick, Canada, along with nine grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no memorial service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Best Friends Animal Society.
Carol will be greatly missed.
