Carol Ann Durfee Sellers, passed away on July 28, 2024 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on .July 31, 1935, in Burley, Idaho, to her loving parents Golden Claude and Gertrude Emily Durfee.
In her professional life, Carol dedicated herself to working at Beehive Clothing. Her commitment and hard work left a lasting impact on those around her.
Outside of work Carol found joy in simple pleasures. She had a green thumb and found solace in gardening. Her talent extended to sewing, where she poured her creativity into beautiful creations.
One of Carol’s proudest accomplishments was being a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Throughout her life, she served in various capacities within the church community, touching the lives of many with her kindness and dedication.
In the hearts of those who knew her best, Carol will forever be remembered for her gentle spirit and unwavering faith. She leaves behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Carol is reunited in heaven with her parents Golden and Gertrude, two brothers Richard and Ronald Durfee, and granddaughter Danielle LeeAnn Hanson. She is survived by her daughters Christine (Shawn) Willie, Wendy (Tony) Stott, Marcie (Jeffrey) Nielsen; grandchildren Tyler, Jeffrey, Nicole, Michael, Alexandrea, and McKinley; five great-grandchildren; sisters Lorraine Moore, Maryellen Clements, and Vickie Keener; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held Monday August 5, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah. Family and friends may visit Monday from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah prior to the graveside.
Carol’s memory will live on through the stories shared by those who loved her. May she rest in peace knowing she was cherished deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
