Carol Belliston Smith, 71, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014.

She was born May 31, 1943, in San Francisco, California and was raised by her parents, Ronald Oscar and Naomi Topham Belliston in Nephi and Ogden. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School.

On August 10, 1962, Carol married Weldon Webb Smith in Ogden; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.

Carol spent the past 48 years raising her children, caring for grandchildren and enjoying many friendships.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the nursery and as a visiting teacher.

Carol is survived by her husband, six children, Rodney, Brenda, Tammy (Bill) Tuttle, Tonya Byrd, Ron (Sabrina), Jay (Heidi); seven granddaughters and one grandson. She was especially close to her granddaughter, Carrie.

Funeral services to honor her life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 25th at the Cedar Crest Ward, 3845 South 2000 West.

The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at the church.

Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
