Carol Ann Yardley

Carol Ann Yardley, 66, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 at her home of natural causes.
She was born in Spanish Fork, UT on July 17, 1952, the first of three children of Robert Verl and Marilyn Prince Wing. She attended Cyprus High School. She grew up in Spanish Fork and Magna, and then spent her later years residing in Kaysville and Morgan Utah.
On August 23, 1969, Carol married Darrell Privett. Together they had two children, Dustin Duane and Darrin David. They divorced in 1972. On June 8, 1979, Carol married the love of her life Richard James (Dick) Yardley in Murray, Utah. This created a blended family, as Dick had two children from a previous marriage, Stefanie Lyn and Derek James. Together, Dick and Carol had two daughters, Stacie Ann and Krista Marie. Dick preceded her in death on April 7, 2006.
In 1985, Carol and Dick built their auto shop in Kaysville, Utah, Dick’s Tire and Auto, which later became Dick’s American Car Care. Together they ran a successful business for many years. They sold the business in 1998.
Carol had a deep love for music. She loved to play it loud and sing along with her beautiful voice. She was an amazing seamstress and over the years made many clothes and blankets for her family. She loved being in the kitchen and cooking delicious meals. Throughout their life together, Carol and Dick enjoyed many activities and adventures, such as fishing and hunting, camping and horseback riding. She was a lover of all animals and she will especially be missed by her beloved dog, Poppy and her cat, Doofy.
Carol was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-day Saints. She is survived by her children, Dustin Duane Privett, Las Vegas, NV; Dr. Darrin David (Kelly) Privett, Newhall, CA; Stacie Ann (Brandon) Benoit, West Point; Krista Marie Ward, Farmington; Stefanie Lyn (Glen) Rehr, West Jordan; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother, Mike Wing; and sister, Sherry Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Yardley, her parents, and step-son, Derek James Yardley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
