CarolAnn Potokar

Riverdale - Our beautiful 44 year old daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, and friend returned home to her Father in Heaven. She was surrounded by her loving family.

CarolAnn was born in Ogden, Utah to Ricky and Tamra Potokar on September 25, 1969. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and taught Relief Society for many years. She grew up in Roy, Utah where she attended Valley View Elementary and SandRidge Junior High, where she enjoyed being on the volleyball team and performing in plays. In high school she was a proud Roy High Royal Senior Class Officer, was on the honor roll and debate team, and was also chosen to attend Girl''s State.

CarolAnn was a brilliant student where she excelled academically and athletically earning herself a scholarship to Rick''s College in Rexburg, Idaho. At Ricks College she was on the Centennial Scroll Staff where she was editor-in-chief of the college newspaper. She earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Journalism in 1991. She completed the Dale Carnegie Course in 1996 and received the Highest Award for Achievement. She was awarded the Rick''s College ASRC Service Award in 1989. While working at USANA she was a Project Manager and a Recognition Manager. She also worked for Teleperformance USA as the Director of National Accounts and as a Program Manager where she was able to travel nationally and internationally.

She proudly volunteered to coach the Alpine Skiing team of the Utah Special Olympics. She was an avid reader and was extremely knowledgeable in many areas. She enjoyed making crafts for others for hours on end. Her biggest passion was spending time with her nieces and nephews at Sourdough Ranch riding her four wheeler, shed hunting, or taking rides up East Canyon. She loved her two dogs Boomer and Bella, they were her "furry kids".

She will be dearly missed by her entire family. She is survived by her parents Rick and Tamra Potokar of Roy sister Jennie and Tracy Probert (children) Kolten, Caden, Faith, Hope, and Sadie of West Haven, sister Hollie and Gary Loveless (children) Madelyn and Matthew of Hooper, Grandparents Robert and Monica Brown, and Bertha Potokar.
