Carole King Chapman 1942-2013
Carole King Chapman, 71, of Heber, Utah, passed away December 5, 2013 after a long illness.
She was born to the late Oren and Della King, April 28, 1942 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Secretarial School, Salt Lake and was eventually hired by LDS Hospital. She was offered the first job as a Respiratory Therapist at the hospital and was trained on the job, as there was no board certifying at the time. She worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 20 plus years in different hospitals. While working at the U of U hospital she was on the Cardiac Arrest Team.
She married Craig Taylor Chapman, October 31, 1999 after a four years engagement. They bought a new home in Heber, Utah. Carol retired after working at a popular book store.
Carole loved to read and her shelves were filled with a vast range of interesting subjects, her pet cockatiels often keeping her company. She also liked to shop for presents for everyone and arranged them beautifully in special baskets. We all looked forward to receiving ours. She was a Reiki Master, receiving her final training in Hawaii.
She is survived by her husband; brothers, Jerry and Bill Brimley and her sister Diane King Jensen. Preceded in death by her brother Michael King and sister Marilyn Laraway.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may visit family from 1:00 a" 1:45 pm prior to services. Interment Lakeview Memorial Park, Bountiful, Utah.
