CAROLE LYNNE HOPPE

Carole Lynne Hoppe passed away in her sleep surrounded by her loving family on August 15, 2021. Carole was born on May 18, 1952, to Blair and Shirley Barber, in Ogden, Utah. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband, Ivan Brent Hoppe, daughter, Breanna G. Hoppe, son, I. Jeremy Hoppe, and her pride and joy and only grandchild, Brecklyn Nicole Talbot.

Carole was raised and lived in Syracuse, Utah. She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1970. She married her best friend, Brent, on December 13, 1972, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City LDS temple.

She was a loyal employee at Craythorne Inc. where she bossed around construction workers for over 30 years. Her hobbies, when she wasn’t doing something for or with Brecklyn, included traveling, crafting with Brecklyn, camping at Bear Lake and spending time with her family and friends. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandma, sister, and friend. She was always willing to go out of her way to help family and friends. She was very encouraging, supportive, and strong handed with those she loved. She was a good example to all and loved by many.

Carole also leaves behind two sisters whom she loved very much, Gayl (Todd) Benson and Joanne (Roger) McDermott. She will also be missed by life-long friends that were part of her daily life. She has been reunited with her father, mother and three brothers, Kenyon, Stan, and Dave Barber.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 20, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Meadows Ward Chapel, 700 S. 2500 W, Syracuse.  Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary, 869 S. 2000 W. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Syracuse City Cemetery.
