Carole Lee Houghton
December 10, 1935 - April 7, 2018
The dash above holds 82 years of life. Carole was blessed by being a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and an amazing friend. Some of her fondest memories were when the love of her life, A. Dwayne Houghton, proposed, their wedding in Denver, CO on July 28, 1957, and their marriage of 60 years.
After they moved to Kaysville in 1962, she started the King Clarion Club, a social group for neighborhood women.
She loved singing, caring for dogs and birds, camping, fishing, going to Lake Powell with close friends Marvin and Earlene Blanken, playing cards, crocheting, and crafting. She was quite the life of the party, always the hostess, and loved a good family gathering.
She cared for her mother and her husband through their last days and was cared for by her best friend, Sharon Morley, in her last days.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lionel and Helen Charron and her husband, A Dwayne Houghton. She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Vince) Toscan and Duane Houghton, and her Grandchildren Jacob Miller and Leslee (Josh) Ward.
The family would like to thank the Morley family, especially Sharon for her loving care, and nurses Carrie and Alicia and staff from CNS Hospice.
