Doris Carolie Rodeback

1931-2014

Doris Carolie Rodeback, 82, passed away on February 9, 2014, at her home in Centerville, Utah.

Carolie was an exceptionally devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, whose amazing kindness and joyous approach to life touched everyone who knew her.

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, February 21, 1931 to Harold (Al) and Sarah (Sadie) Smith Sander.   She married Maurice (Morrie) J. Rodeback on August 29,1950. She raised six children and lived most of her life in Centerville, Utah and enjoyed the years that she lived in Sedona, Arizona and Manhattan Beach, California.

Throughout Carolie’s life, her passion was caring for her family, pouring out her love to her family members and friends and to many others with whom she became intertwined. Carolie made friends easily and always put the needs of others before herself.  She was an endless giver and provider of love, laughter and light!

Carolie enjoyed bird watching, book clubs, traveling to the Utah Canyons, camping, boating with family and teaching children to read at the Senior Center. She loved working in the newborn nursery at the local hospital.

She is survived by her six children, Gregg (Talonna), Maurya (Blake), Mike (Terri), Taunya (Kermit), Tina  and Kalien (Martins), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and brother Gary (Chris) Sander.  Preceded in death by her husband Morrie after 42 years of marriage, son Harold, parents and brother, Keith. We will miss you and remember your smile, laughter and kindness.  You are now in the arms of God.
