Caroline Watkins Amey

ROY a€" Caroline Watkins Amey, 62, passed way Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Davis Hospital.

She was born November 25, 1948 in Monticello, Utah to Ivan "Punk" and Irene Harvey Watkins. She was raised and educated in Blanding. She attended Snow College and graduated from the Univerity of Utah with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering in 1985. .

Caroline was a member of the LDS Church where she served in various callings.

She was employed for Hill Air Force Base as a Chemical Engineer for 25 years.

She enjoyed crafts, knitting, sewing and making dolls. Her favorite past times included gardening and reading. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Caroline is survived by her children, Eric, of Roy; Heather Holmberg and partner (Mitch Walkington) , of Murray; seven grandchildren, Kara, Trisha, A.J., Myles, Melissa, Rickelle, Rylie; two brothers, Richard Watkins and Clyde Watkins, both of Blanding; and a sister, Marilyn Smith, Kirtland, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Bertha Snyder.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 19th at 2 p.m. at Wheat Ridge Ward Chapel, 5080 South 3100 West, Roy.

The family will meet friends on Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the church.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 22nd at 2 p.m. at the Blanding Cemetery, 50 West 100 South, Blanding.
