Caroline Darras, 82, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012. She was born August 3, 1930 in Spring Glen, UT to Samuel and Christine Verholtz Fazzio.

Caroline married Clement Darras Jr. on October 8, 1949 in Price, UT. In her early career, she worked as a nurse''s aide at St. Mark''s and Holy Cross Hospitals. She was employed as a pharmacy technician for the past 30 years at Valu Drug and was always a hard worker. She loved camping, fishing, and gardening, especially her roses and vegetable garden. She was raised on a dairy farm but we never saw her drink a glass of milk. She and her husband were regulars at Wendover where she had a secret system for winning. To this day it is still a secret! Once every summer they made a special trip with their trailer that ended in Jackpot and Wendover.

She is survived by her husband, Clement; daughters: Carolyn (Dominic) DeRose, Farmington, Joan Ann Darras, Sederence, CO; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers: Sam (Ada) Fazzio, Provo, UT, Joseph (Maxine) Fazzio, Mapleton, UT, Isaac (Lee Ann) Fazzio, Spring Glen, UT; brother-in-law Dennis Salmanikas, Helper, UT; sisters Mary Ann (Donald) Pierce, Price, UT and Marie (Pat) Hansen, Linden, UT and sister-in-law Norma Fazzio, Highland, UT. Preceded in death by her sister Christina, brother Ross, and grandson Michael.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit family Monday from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 1 to 1:45 prior to services at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 N. Fairfield Road.
