Carolyn Bagshaw
1935-2019
Carolyn Louise Richardson Bagshaw, age 84, passed away Friday, May 3, 2019 in Bountiful, Utah in the presence of family. Carolyn was born April 9, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was lovingly raised by Bill and Frieda Richardson, along with her brother Ralph. Carolyn grew up in Rose Park and was a proud graduate of West High School. Her father was a proficient baker, and she quickly learned the skill and art of baking by his side. Carolyn’s first job was working alongside her father in the family owned White Rose Bakery.
At the age of 20, Carolyn caught the eye of Ross Bagshaw. After officially meeting when Ross “accidentally” bumped into Carolyn’s car, they were inseparable. The two were married September 7, 1955. Their marriage was blessed with their four children Corrie, Kelly, Shauna, and Troy.
Throughout her life, Carolyn continued to perfect her baking skills and made a career for herself working for the Safeway and Smith’s bakeries. Additionally, she was well known for her culinary gifts and made many wedding cakes and event treats for family and friends.
Carolyn was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered for her big heart, caring spirit, and love for travel. She will be missed by many.
Carolyn’s family would like to thank the amazing medical staff at Lakeview Hospital for their incredible care and support.
