Logan, Utah‒Carolyn Griffeth Brimhall was born on November 2, 1941, in Preston, Idaho, to Vaughn and Laurene Griffeth. She peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on March 11, 2025.
Carolyn's life was filled with many accomplishments, but she only wanted to be known as "just a girl from the river bottom who loved her family." Growing up in the serene river bottom of Dayton, Idaho, Carolyn developed a deep love for her surroundings and the people in her life.
On February 7, 1963, she married her eternal companion, Keith Hale Brimhall, in the Logan LDS Temple. Their union was a testament to their faith and love, sealed for time and all eternity.
Carolyn was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served faithfully in various capacities, including the Relief Society, Young Womens, and Primary organizations in her stake and ward. Her favorite calling was as a Primary Chorister, where she shared her love for music and the gospel with the children. Carolyn's service was marked by the lifelong friendships she formed and the love she extended to everyone she met. Those who knew Carolyn felt her Christ-like love and compassion. She had a unique ability to make everyone feel like the most important person in the room, reflecting her deep and abiding faith in Jesus Christ.
Carolyn attended Utah State University for 3 years, nurturing a lifelong passion for learning. Her desire to serve others led her and Keith to accept a mission call to the Billings Montana Mission in 2003, where Carolyn served diligently as the secretary to the mission president.
Carolyn and Keith were blessed with eight children, Jan and Nile Adams, Michael and Trixie Brimhall, Julie and Gary Earl, Rebecca and Robert Crowell, Matthew and Mandy Brimhall, Daniel and Minhvan Brimhall, Jonathan and Brittany Brimhall, and Emily Hart. Their family grew to include 34 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, each of whom Carolyn loved dearly and prayed for daily, her grandchildren, Maryn Adams, Erin Adams, Ally Adams, Jessi and Benjamin Jenson, Jordan Adams, John Adams, Kyle Nielsen, Chelsea and Jared Ballard, Chandra and Taylor Wood, Bailey Nielsen, Braden Brimhall (deceased), Tanner and Jenna Crowell, Sydnee and Dyllin Rumsey, Taten Crowell, Shaylynn and Nathan Gailey, Trichelle and Parker Quist, Alyse and Jackson Oliver, Mikayla and Brant Eaton, Ily Brimhall, Jarom Brimhall, Aydree Brimhall, Benjamin Brimhall, Matthias Brimhall, Ty Brimhall, Lily Brimhall, Lawson Brimhall, Cameron Brimhall, Isaac Brimhall, Caleb Brimhall, Austin Brimhall, Ammon Hart, Abigail Hart, Dylan Hart, Mason Hart; and great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Liam, Gwendolyn, Gracie, Eliana (deceased), Dawson, Camden, Sofie, Ayden, Paxton, Tatum, Coen, Judd, and Charlotte.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn and Laurene Griffeth; her brothers, Clark and Bradley; her grandson, Braden Brimhall; her great-granddaughter, Eliana Jensen; and her son-in-law, Nile Adams.
Carolyn's legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who knew her. She leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory and strive to live by her example of Christ-like love and devotion.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who cared for Carolyn during these last few months. Aegis Hospice, especially Bekah, her dedicated nurse, and Sami, affectionately known as her "shower girl", provided care that transcended duty, treating her like family. We also owe a profound thank you to her husband and our father, Keith. He exemplified the role of caregiver and husband, tending to his wife, our mother with unmatched love and devotion, ensuring that her final months were as comfortable and joyous as possible.
