Carolyn Jewel Flint

Carolyn Jewel Love Flint passed away in her home on December 19, 2022, at the age of 70 after a valiant fight with long-term illness.  Carolyn was born April 4, 1952, in Ruston, Louisiana to parents George. A. and Truena R. Love where she lived until she was 19 years old.  She then moved to Utah for college where she later met Blaine.  Carolyn wed Blaine W. Flint on November 14, 1975, and was sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple.  Blaine and Carolyn lived in Sugar City and Boise, Idaho before returning to Davis County in 1982.  They remained in Kaysville, Utah except for a two-year assignment in Yellowstone National Park. 

Carolyn was an accomplished musician.  She was an expert piano and organ player and taught both instruments to scores of students over the years.  She served many terms as Ward Organist and enjoyed playing for countless congregations.  Carolyn loved the outdoors and wildlife and was happiest when viewing them in their natural settings.  She also enjoyed caring for her pets.  She offered day-care in her home for many years and became a secondary parent to dozens of children including her own nieces and nephews.  Welcoming new challenges, her career included working at Boise Cascade, Hill Air Force Base, Internal Revenue Service, and as a teacher’s assistant.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Blaine W. Flint, son Brandon B. Flint (Sarah), brothers Ralph, Charles, Milton, Sullivan, and sisters Helen and Janice, and many other family members who loved her.  She is preceded in death by her treasured daughter, Tennille Flint (1978-2005), her parents, and brother Richard.

Funeral services will be held Friday December 23, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kaysville Stake Center, 615 No. Flint St. Kaysville. Friends may visit family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services. Services will be live streamed by going to  www.lindquistmortuary.com and scrolling to the bottom of Carolyn’s obituary page.

Interment at the Kaysville Cemetery.
