Carolyn "Pat" Kapp

Carolyn Patricia Kapp, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on February 23, 2013, at the age of 77.

She was born on December 30, 1935 in St. George to Ralph and Mildred Holm Wilkinson. She attended Weber County schools and graduated from the Weber Junior College practical nursing program in 1954.

Pat married the love of her life Garey Eltjo Kapp on April 7, 1954. Together they raised one son and five daughters.

She worked as a nurse in the medical field caring for people at local hospitals and dialysis centers. She was a member of the Utah Nurses Association. She retired in 1997 from the University of Utah, Bonneville Dialysis Center.

Pat was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent her life teaching by example to love one another. Her family was her greatest joy and she often spoke of how blessed she was. Throughout her life she enjoyed camping, traveling, sewing, scrapbooking and the arts. She stayed busy in her later years creating quilts and homemade items for her great-grandchildren and the children in local schools and shelters. She liked the motto "keep it local".

She is survived by her loving husband, Garey; son, Ellery S. (Marion) Kapp of Roy; daughters, Kera L. (Robert) Atmore of North Ogden, LesLee A. (Kirk) Robinson of Roy, Karen K. Montgomery of Eden, Kelly E. (Tony) Colvin of Ogden, and Dawnette (Dan) Bellinfante of Vista, CA; 23 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Interment, Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
