Carolyn Vera Zinn Seager

KAYSVILLE - Carolyn Vera Zinn Seager, age 73, died Tuesday, October 20, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully at home with her loving husband and children by her side. She was a woman of great talent and cheerfulness who will be greatly missed.

Carolyn was born December 8, 1935, the daughter of Overton and Norma Hodgson Zinn. She was a graduate of Ogden High School and Weber State College.

Carolyn married Richard Austin Seager on June 21, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were companions, best friends and enjoyed 53 years of marriage together.

Carolyn was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served faithfully in the auxiliaries of the church.

Surviving are her husband, Richard Austin Seager, Kaysville; children, Susan (Mark) Watson, Roy; David (Julie) Seager, Las Vegas, NV; Paul (Shellie) Seager, South Jordan; Jeanette (Kenton) Frandsen, Layton; Nathan (Sydnee) Seager, Kaysville and Matthew (Angie) Seager, Layton.

Carolyn is survived by 26 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Vannatter, Kaysville and Phyllis (Richard) Crouch, Bountiful.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville 4th Ward LDS Chapel, located at 875 East 200 North, Kaysville. Friends and family may call Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
