Carrie Elizabeth Cardon Rose

Carrie Elizabeth Cardon Rose, 92, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at McKay-Dee Hospital from incidents related to her age.
She was born March 16, 1922 in Rupert, Idaho to Ernest and Eva Cardon. She graduated from Weber High School in 1940 and attended Weber College.
On January 28, 1942, Carrie married Wayne E. Rose in Malad, Idaho. Their vows were solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on October 28, 2011. Carrie and Wayne had been married for 72 years. They lived in Warren, Utah all of their married life.
During World War II, she worked at the railroad laundry in Ogden. She worked for the Weber School District as a teacher’s assistant for 19 years and retired in 1984.
Carrie was an active faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She diligently fulfilled all the church callings she was asked to serve. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, active in community affairs and contributed to the writing of the 100 year history of Warren, Utah.
Her main interest was always spending time with her family. She was an avid reader of good books and enjoyed handiwork.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; their children and spouses, Don and LuDale Rose, Dee and Sue Rose, all of Plain City; Carl and Lisa Rose, Warren; Ron and Debra Rose, Buhl, ID; Kraig and Cheryl Bach, Elko, NV; and one sister, Marie Edmison. She had 11 grandchildren, (1 deceased) and 16 great-grandchildren, (1 deceased).
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 28th at the Warren Ward Chapel, 5900 West 950 North. The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
