Carrie C. Schow
OGDEN – Our beautiful, loving mother, grandmother, aunt and best friend, Carrie Stewart Colby Schow, 94, went to Heaven on Sunday, May 11, 2008 at a local care center of causes incident to age.
She was born January 19, 1914 in Burrville, Utah, a daughter of Joseph and Uzella Stewart. She and her twin sister, Carma Greenwood, were adopted and raised by Victoria and Issac Colby in Sigard, Utah.
On May 9, 1930, Carrie married Clifford P. Schow in Salt Lake City. Cliff preceded her in death on January 13, 1989.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Carrie worked at the Naval Supply Depot, Norge Laundry and Shupe-Williams Candy Company.
Surviving are her children, Richard (Lynn) Schow, Patricia Schow, and Phyllis (Bill) Walkama; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son, Stanley Schow.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.
Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
