Carrie Stewart

Carrie Stewart, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was born on November 25, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Ray and Augusta Haugen Lewis.

She married Thomas J. Stewart on September 9, 1945 and later solemnized their marriage in the Los Angeles, CA temple on November 25, 1961. They enjoyed 66 years together until Thomas passed away on September 15, 2011.

Carrie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed many callings.

She retired as President-Manager from the Ogden Municipal Employees Credit Union. She also served on the NCUA Board and was a member of the Business and Professional Women.

She enjoyed games and camping. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Carrie is survived by her three sons, Gregg Stewart, Thomas Stewart, and Gary Stewart; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Stewart grandson, Jesse Bo Stewart; and her parents.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 12 p.m. at the Huntsville Cemetery.  Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Huntsville Cemetery.
