Carrie "Peggy" H. Tolson

Carrie “Peggy” H. Tolson ROY – Carrie Hazel Olds Tolson, 84, went home to God on Monday, December 1, 2008. She was born March 25, 1924 in Brea, California, a daughter of Alva Ellis and Hazel Ellen Olds. Carrie married Fred O. Tolson on November 18, 1944. Fred preceded her in death on September 2, 2003. She always said all she wanted in life was a home of her own with a white picket fence, and a family to take care of. She had two sons, Steven and Alton. A third son, Sammy Ross, died in childbirth but was always remembered by Carrie. She loved her dog, Rowdy, and enjoyed playing the organ. She enjoyed Christmas and loved getting presents for her grandchildren. Carrie had the family she always wanted. Surviving are her sons, Steve F. Tolson, and Alton E. Tolson, 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. We will all miss you Carrie. Graveside services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Northern Utah Humane Society.
