Cary Clark Cobb
1942 ~ 2017
Cary Clark Cobb passed away on February 27, 2017, in Ogden, UT, surrounded by his wife’s family. He was born in Lufkin, TX in 1942 to Acie and Opal Clark Cobb.
He graduated from Stephen F. Austin University where he studied music and business.
Cary was blessed with a remarkable tenor voice. He performed with several groups including the Houston Symphony Chorale and The Singing Men of South Texas. During the 1990’s he served as a substitute minister of music in the Baptist Churches throughout central Texas.
He worked in several organizations in audit and finance. He developed and operated his own glass business.
Cary served his country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.
During his life he had the privilege of traveling throughout the world. The highlight of his travels was a trip to Israel where he walked in the footsteps of his Savior.
Cary is survived by his wife, Sharon Waldron Cobb who grew up in Morgan, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Acie and Opal Cobb; brother, Jerry Cobb; and sister, Marianne Schmidt all of Lufkin, TX.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, South Morgan Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 2 p.m. in Bastrop, Texas, at the Bastrop Christian Church, 1106 Church Street.
