Cary Lee Isaacson, loving father of three daughters Brooke (Jared) Flint, Brittany (Jared) Larsen and Brandi (Tyson) Love left this mortal existence to be reunited with his eternal companion Judi (Vail) Isaacson. After a long struggle with Cancer, he passed away early on the morning of April 8, 2021, at the home of Jared and Brooke Flint. When taking his last breath the sun crested the mountain and shined through his window. Bringing peace and emulating the reunion of Cary with our savior and his sweetheart of 39 years, who has been missed since July 10, 2016. This brought such peace to his family who witnessed it.
The focus of Cary’s life was selfless devotion to his family, God and country. He committed his time to showing his daughters the rewards of sacrifice and hard work. His greatest treasure was his wife, daughters and 13 grandchildren. Cary’s compassionate nature taught their families how to serve. No greater love was given than that of his family in his last days.
Cary grew up in North Ogden at the foot of Ben Lomond Mountain. The outdoors became a companion to him at an early age. He spent his time hunting, fishing and camping with his dad, Fred Dee Isaacson, brothers Kim (Debbie) Isaacson and Jon (Patti) Isaacson.
Cary and his brothers lived life to the fullest, giving his mother, Ethel Y Isaacson some early gray hairs. His sisters Michelle (Sandy) Prisbrey, Sue (Lonnie) Covington, Christee (Gary) Jorgensen, enjoy telling stories of his rowdy days of him and his favorite dog, Duke.
Cary served an honorable mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Argentina, Cordoba mission. Upon returning home he met and married Judi, the love of his life. Their eternal union exemplified true devotion and genuine companionship. Their home was filled with love, laughter and many traditions to last a lifetime and carry on for generations to come.
Cary provided for his family in his shop creating beautiful furniture. He was a skilled upholsterer for over 40 years. In the latter part of his career he had the privilege to serve the lord with his talents as one of the main upholsterers for the LDS church, making furniture for temples along the Wasatch front.
Cary was a devoted, active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He graciously served as bishop of the Country Hollow Ward. His callings prior include Young Men’s President and counselor in Stake Young Men’s Presidency.
Cary served in the US Air Force, stationed in Texas, Alaska and California. He was also in the Air Force reserve.
He was preceded in death by his wife Judi (Vail) Isaacson, his father Fred D. Isaacson and sister, Debbie Kaseman.
