For the past few years, Casey lived a version of Ground Hog day that felt like the darkness of winter would never end. Bits of sunshine would peak through the clouds in beautiful moments like when he met and married his beautiful wife, Meghan. The birth of his amazing children, Mylo and Autumn were also bright moments for him. His family meant everything to him. It was their love, snuggles, and time spent together that kept him going every day.
Casey Michael Allen, Age – 32, passed away on February 2, 2023. He spent the majority of his life living in his hometown of Layton, Utah. He was born on February 19, 1990 and was the favorite son of David and Michelle Allen.
He had an amazing relationship with his dad. They shared a love of gaming, collecting cards, battling it out on the paintball field and solving complex puzzles together. Family game nights were a treasured day where the family met to break bread, share life stories, and try out new games. Casey was the expert go to narrator for the card game, Werewolf. He used his puzzle solving skills multiple times to help the family get out of the Escape Room before the time ran out. He made us all laugh with his answers on JackBox TV games. He had such a quick and witty sense of humor and was too smart for his own good at times.
Casey had so much passion for life and had many things he loved to do. He loved traveling and one of his favorite trips was to Ireland where he ran his first full marathon, which also happened to be the first race he ran. As a child of the 90's he experienced the phenomenon of the Pokémon craze. To him, it wasn’t just a craze. He enjoyed playing, collecting memorabilia, and listening to the music. He was born in the age that home computers became common place and from a very young age he mastered playing games. He loved World of Warcraft and had created a Twitch account where others would watch him play. When he wasn’t playing on the computer, he would lovingly tease his three sisters, or play with his kids. He always wanted to be their protector as a big brother and a father.
Blessed with a skinny physique and a high metabolism, Casey was able to down two 44 oz. Mountain Dews on a daily basis. His favorite place to fill his cup was Maverick and he drove there at least twice a day. He took his son Mylo with him on his soda runs and it quickly became a big bonding time for them to get out and be together.
Casey was a good father. He loved his children unconditionally and provided them with so much love, laughter, and kindness. In 2014, he welcomed his first daughter Paige, into the world. She was a daddy’s girl right from the start. She was his pride and joy. In 2021, his son Mylo was born. They were inseparable. They loved going on walks together and playing Mylo’s favorite game of pick up everything I throw. Autumn was born in 2022. She loved it when her daddy would feed her, rock her to sleep and snuggle.
The sun has set on Casey’s Ground Hog day where he can finally rest and have peace. He was welcomed into heaven with wet, slobbery kisses by his loyal companion Una. The shadow he leaves behind lets us know that spring will come, but his presence will remain with us forever in our hearts.
Casey leaves behind so much family that loves and cares for him. His wife Meghan Allen, his children, Paige, Mylo, and Autumn Allen. Parents, David and Michelle Allen. Sisters, MaLynn Bice (Steve Bice), Miranda Mello (Jose Mello) and Savannah Allen (Matt Garrido). Two nieces, Riley and Harley, and lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
