Casper “CAP” Schommer
LAYTON – Casper Joseph Schommer, 90, passed away July 27, 2018 at his home.
He was born May 30, 1928 in Freedom, Wisconsin the son of Casper Louis and Hattie (Henrietta) Van Rixel.
Casper married Patti Davis on June 27, 1991 in Idyllwild, Riverside County, California.
He was a member of the LDS Church.
Casper liked woodworking, fishing and being a grandpa.
Surviving are his wife, Patti, Layton; two daughters, Alexandra Lee Hewett, Ogden; Sandra Lynn Dain, Layton; one son, Dean Carlson, South Ogden; nine grandchildren,12 great-grandchildren, two nieces, April Wilsak and Heather Sutton, Huntington Beach, CA.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Alexandra.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
He will be greatly missed.
