Catherine (Kate) Belle H. Adams

Catherine (Kate) Belle H. Adams passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008. She died at her home in Milwaukie, Oregon. She was born September 13, 1912 to Hector W. Haight and Nellie Rice in Kaysville, Utah. She grew up and married Frank E. Schofield and together they had one child, Edward.

She was a homemaker, cafAC. owner/operator. In the mid fifties she met and married Edgar Rex Adams and they moved west. Kate found work wherever Rex was working construction. They pioneered into Alaska in 1958 until 1962, building a highway prior to the pipeline. Kate loved to cook, sew, garden, hunt, fish and bowl, but mostly she loved her family and friends. She was preceded in death by both her parents, three brothers, Leo, George, and Weiler as well as her husband Rex Adams. Survivors: son Edward Haight Schofield I, grandchildren Edward H Schofield II (Laura), Deborah K Schofield (Ronald Palmer), and Frank Lee Schofield I (Tracy). Five great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 11 a.m at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Viewing will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
