Catherine Adele Beckett Niblack, 47, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2016 after a valiant 20 year battle with stage four breast cancer.

Cathy was born August 18, 1968 to Stanley K. and Sharon West Beckett in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Cathy graduated from Clearfield High School in 1986. 

On January 1, 1992 she married Steve Niblack and they had two beautiful daughters. 

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Steve Niblack, Syracuse; daughters, Brandi Niblack, Layton; Britney Niblack, Clinton, mother Sharon Beckett, father Stanley (Diana) Beckett, Milton, WA; mother-in-law, Judy Niblack, Sierra Vista, AZ; two brothers, Stephen “Bear” Beckett, Sunset; Christopher Beckett, Tacoma, WA; three grandchildren she adored, Kylie, Lexi, Jayden, along with many nieces and nephews. 

She is also survived by her life-long best friend Mindy Valerio and close family friend James Gailey. 

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hazel and Robert West, father-in-law, John Niblack and Jackie Gailey who was like a mother to her. 

Cathy had so many friends that loved her including her family from HCA Supply Chain in Kaysville where she worked for many years.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family one hour prior to services at the mortuary. 

In lieu of flowers Cathy would like you to make donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or American Cancer Society. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Carl Gray and his staff for 20 years of compassionate care and the staff of Ogden Regional Medical Center for their kindness and compassion in the end.
