Cathy V. Hague
BOUNTIFUL – Cathy Vigil Hague left this world to go home to be with Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 24, 2008.
Cathy was born November 10, 1957 in Ogden, to Manuel A. and Matilda M. Vigil. She was raised in Layton and graduated from Layton High School in 1976. She attended Salt Lake Community College was on the Dean’s List.
She began her career as a draftsman in 1982 and worked for all the major power plants around the Salt Lake area. Her greatest work accomplishment was drawing the PFD (piping and flow instrument diagram) for the entire Kennecott Copper Facility.
On August 21, 1976, Cathy married Marty Chacon. From this union they had one beautiful daughter. They were later divorced. On June 8, 1991, Cathy married the love of her life and soul-mate, Tom Hague. From this union they had what Cathy called her “animal daughter”, their dog Sunny.
She was a member of the Catholic Church and attended the Cathedral of the Madeline.
Cathy was very kind hearted and unselfish in her generosity towards others. She had a love for fine art and was also a great artist herself. She had a love for animals – especially dogs; she never met a dog that didn’t love her. Cathy also enjoyed collecting dvd’s and watching them on her home theater system. She was a spit-fire and loved to blast her stereo to hard rock music.
Surviving are her loving husband, Tom Hague, her only child Jamie (Travis) Kohler, her only biological grandchild, Kasey, her stepson, Chad Hague, two other grandchildren, Zach and Kaylie Hague, her parents Manuel and Mattie Vigil, sister, Connie (Tom) Quintana, brother, Arthur (Kimberly) Vigil, four nephews and one niece.
Memorial Mass will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in West Haven.
