Cathy Wilson Thomason
Beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Cathy (Wilson) Thomason, 58, passed away November 13, 2015 at Ogden Regional Hospital.
She was born December 16, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah the daughter of Cornell and Marie Lily Gwynn Wilson.
Cathy married Ross Raymond Thomason on September 16, 1977 in the Salt Lake Temple.
She had lived in North Salt Lake, Bountiful, Centerville and Layton.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served as Branch Missionary, Primary and Young Womens.
Her hobbies were Disney, Disneyland, travel, family, grandchildren, cooking and she loved watching her cooking shows along with other shows, crocheting and other craft projects.
Cathy believed in hard work, she always has had a testimony of the Gospel and she passed that on to her children. The values she taught were of strong moral ethics, hard work, love and respect for all, and to believe in yourself. Amongst the greatest things he taught was her strong testimony of the power of prayer and taught the strength of family. She loved the teachings of our Savior and testified the truths he taught. She was a wonderful example, loyal companion friend. She shared her light with the world. She loved what she did and adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Ross Raymond Thomason and her six children and spouses, Stephanee Thomason, Rachel and Jacob Taft, Jennifer and Chris McGarry, Sean and Dixie Thomason, Joseph and Chantel Thomason, Candice and Brian Gibby. Also surviving are eight beautiful grandchildren, Cooper, Kaziah, Lucy, Emily, Tina, Maggie Taft, Aleksandra McGarry, and William Thomason. She also has two brothers and a sister, Dennis Wilson Sr., Kaye Wilson, Mike Wilson and Pam and Ron Ludwig.
Preceded in death by her brother Kraig Wilson, sister Janet Bronson, and father and mother.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Layton Hills Stake Center, 2400 N. University Parkway, Layton. Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to all those that took the time in some way serve them, with prayers, meals and loving support.
Also to Dr. Carl Gray and his staff and Dr. Robert A. Harris and his staff, we always felt the loving care and compassion as you provided your services for our loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.
