Cecil L. Cragun

Beloved Husband and Father, Cecil L. Cragun, returned home to his Heavenly Father on May 30, 2018. Cecil was born in Ogden, Utah to Cecil LaVern and Gladys Virginia Aikens Cragun on September 13, 1935. He attended North Ogden Elementary, Wahlquist Jr. High, and graduated from Weber High School. He also attended Weber State College.
He met his eternal sweetheart Carol Anne Lyons and they were married in the Logan LDS Temple on March 28, 1957. They made their home in Ogden for the past 61 years. He is survived by 9 children; Rochelle (David) Crimin, Ramona (Dan) Anderton, Roger (Kelly), Ray (Renee), Roberta (Chad- Deceased) Loftus, Ron (Debbie), Rex (Nicole), Rebecca (Joe) Burger, Rachel (Angel) Chaparro; 28 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and six siblings; Patricia (Jerry) Zabel, Carol Parker, Larry (Jeannie) Michael (Donna) JaNae (David) Jackson, Randy (Betsy).
Cecil worked in the bakery industry for 47 years. He was a journeyman baker and master cake decorator. He was an active member of the LDS faith and held many callings in his ward. He loved life and his family will forever be grateful for the impact he left on their lives. He leaves a legacy of kindness, strength, and perseverance. The family would like to thank his Hospice caregivers for their loving care and compassion.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
