Cecil George Schofield
June 12, 1945 ~ February 9, 2019
Cecil passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at his home with his sister by his side. He was 73. Born to Walter C. Schofield and Georgia Jean Clark Schofield on June 12, 1945.
Cecil was in the Army at the age of 21. He was hurt and received an honorable medical discharge. After his discharge, his life was filled with lots of illnesses including a car accident that left him with only a 50% right lung air capacity. The last seven years his health deteriorated having bladder cancer, COPD (never smoked) and various other health issues causing him to go to doctors, hospitals and rehabs. He is now out of pain.
He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 25 years retiring in 1996 on a medical.
His enjoyment was doing leather work. He was a member of the Ogden Camera Club and the American Legion, Clearfield.
Cecil was such a kind, caring man who never got the chance to be married and have children. He would have made a good husband and father for someone deserving of him. He never complained, He more than gladly helped his sister when she needed it.
Cecil is survived by his sister, Linda Stewart, and his niece, Paula Jean Hufner and her husband, James Hufner, Jr. of Virginia and many cousins.
His sister wants to thank Signature Hospice (formerly Access) for their help in keeping him at home until the time of passing, especially, Jan and Megan for making it possible.
