Celestina Baluyut

LAYTON – Celestina Baluyut, 82, passed away December 20, 2016 at her home.

She was born May 2, 1934 in Angles City, Philippines, the daughter of Fernando and Epifana Enriquez Cangcungco.

Celestina married Leonardo Baluyut in 1959 in the Philippines.  He preceded her in death on July 27, 1975.

She was a member of the Catholic Church.

She was a dressmaker and enjoyed sewing.  She also liked to watch the Filipino Channel on TV.

Surviving are her children: Yolanda (Larry) Breon, Noel (Belle) Baluyut, Maila (Edmon) Laxamana, Rowena (Clifton) Corey, Nelson (Dinah) Baluyut, seven grandchildren, Francis, Carlo, Markey, Janjan, Eric, Mariz and Jayden.

Preceded in death by her husband, daughter Carmela, granddaughter, Pharez Joy Buluyut and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 5 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the mortuary.
