Charlene Yeaman Williamson

Charlene Yeaman Williamson, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, November 21, 2011. She was born on July 21, 1920 to Charles Sterling and Margaret Catherine Gibson Yeaman in Ogden, Utah.

She attended Ogden City Schools. She was very proud to have graduated in the second graduating class from Ogden High School in 1939. During World War II, she worked at the arsenal in Clearfield.

She married William Dean Williamson in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1963. They spent 40 years in Simi Valley, California. While living in California she worked as an assembler at Hughes Aircraft in Canoga Park, California. William passed away in April of 1981. Charlene has spent the last five years in North Ogden. She came back home to be near her beloved mountains.

Mom was a woman of great integrity, strength, and tenacity. She believed that her greatest accomplishment was her daughter and best friend, Carol. Mom truly enjoyed watching her family thrive with her two granddaughters and her four great-grandchildren. In her spare time, Mom made beautiful cross-stitch and loved making porcelain dolls. More often than not, one could find her listening to Lawrence Welk or enjoying a good book.

Charlene is survived by her daughter, Carol Anne (David) Aitchison, North Ogden; granddaughters, Seana M. (Jeff) Shafer, Brentwood, California; and Kelly M. (Andy) Prince, North Ogden; great-grandchildren, Sean Shafer and Taylor Shafer, Brentwood, California; and twins Noah and Margaret Prince, North Ogden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and five siblings.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Hearts for Hospice for their loving care of Charlene and to express, "Thank God for hospice".
