Charles Henry Anderson Jr.
OGDEN- Charles Henry Anderson Jr., A compassionate, loyal, forever loving gentleman left us early Friday morning June 3, 2011.
Chuck was born March 16, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York a son of Charles Henry and Synnove E. Anderson.
He grew up in Brooklyn but moved cross country to Oregon as a teenager where he graduated from the University of Oregon during WWII.
He was commissioned in the U.S. Army for 23 years retiring in 1969 as a LTC. He fought for this country both in WWII and the Korean War.
On July 7, 1951 he married Marilyn Sue Richardson Elkins. Together they raised three sons, Arjuna (Gita), Rick (Hope), and Rolf.
After the army, he entered the real estate profession and capped this adventure by becoming a broker of his own company, Reality World Abide. His integrity, strength, wisdom, and vision enabled him not only success but the respect and admiration of many associates, student, and friends of the business.
Upon retirement his love of family, golf, fishing, cooking and gardening kept him busy. He always found time to help a friend or family member in need.
His beloved wife of 55 years passed before him on November 28, 2006.
Chuck married Virginia Howell Acherman on Jan 5, 2009. They resided in Ogden and together brought and molded two families into one.
Chuck was a long standing member of the First Presbyterian Church where he was involved teaching Sunday School and working with the Scouts.
He leaves behind his wife, three sons, three step-children, 14 grandchildren and many, great-grandchildren.
To know him was to love, honor and respect him.
Memorial service will be held on Monday June 6th at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary 3408 Washington Blvd.
