Charles “Chuck” Phillip Balistrire

December 10, 1945 ~ July 22, 2017

Charles “Chuck” Phillip Balistrire, 71, passed away in the loving arms of his wife, Deana Lawler Balistrire, after a short battle with cancer, on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

He was born December 10, 1945 in Madison, Wisconsin to Oscar and Marie Young Balistrire. He graduated from Prairie du Chien High School and attended college.

He served overseas in the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1972 as a Crew Chief.

On September 22, 2001, Chuck married Deana Lawler at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ogden.

He was employed by the Department of Treasury. He was also a licensed armed private officer. Chuck had a passion for aviation and was a licensed pilot. He was a volunteer Range Officer for the Davis County Sheriff’s Department.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed his first amendment and target shooting with his family. He also enjoyed conversing with people. He bragged about Deana’s cooking skills, and loved to BBQ and entertain. He was a huge Green Bay Packers fan.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Deana; son, Charles (Tasha) Balistrire; daughter, Candice (Todd) Fields; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepson, Casey (Catherine) Montoya; and cousin, Todd (Christine) Grapp. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
