Charles “Chuck” James Bennett 6/30/1937 – 11/24/2013 CLEARFIELD - Chuck passed away Sunday morning surrounded by his loved ones. He Served in the U.S. Air Force and served as a civilian in Vietnam. On May 29, 1964 he married Joan Dastrup. They were married 49 wonderful years. He retired as a civilian from Hill Air Force base after 32 years. Chuck’s favorite hobbies were fishing with his buddy John Walton. He loved anything to do with the outdoors, and riding with his wife Joan as members of the Klunker Klub. Chuck is survived by his wife Joan Bennett, daughter Tonya (Craig) Whaley, son, Bart Bennett, daughter, Susan (Larry) Herrera, 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Faye Bennett, father, Charles James Bennett, son, James Charles Bennett and grandson Cody Herrera. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. In lieu of flowers donations can be made at any Wells Fargo Bank.
