Charles Robert Blair Sr.

ROY – Charles Robert Blair Sr., 89, passed away January 21, 2018 at his home in Clearfield, Utah.

He was born April 20, 1928 in Oswegatchie, New York the son of Kay and Louise Deminick Blair.

Charles married Vivian Moore on May 1, 1955 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.  She preceded him in death.  He married Shirley Checketts on February 4, 2000 in Roy, Utah.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1969.  After retiring from the Army he worked for 20 years Civil Service at HAFB.  He was a hard worker and cared for and loved everyone.

Charles was a member of the Catholic Church, American Legion Post 87 and the Eagles.

He loved hunting, fishing, camping and cutting wood.

Surviving are his wife Shirley, children, Charlotte (Joe), Charles (Cindy), Tammy (Gary), Brenda (Doyle), Reid, five step-children, three sisters, 26 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death are his parents, wife Vivian, son, Donald Blair, daughter, Diane Phillip, one grandson and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
