Charles Ralph Fisher
November 28, 1951 ~ June 16, 2022
Charles Ralph Fisher was the family jokester, flirt, cook, handyman, pick up person, babysitter, dog sitter, house sitter or be there any time for anything type of guy. He was so funny and always making us laugh. He never missed a chance to dump his sisters out of a canoe or hide behind somewhere to scare someone. He would even tease his nurses to try and make them laugh. Anytime a picture was being taken with Charles, you could always count on rabbit ears behind someone’s head. Which earned him many backhands in the stomach from his wife Debbie. His famous statement when answering his phone was “Fishers Bar and Grill”. He loved playing basketball, especially with family. Many times, when he was in competition with a family member or friend, he would say “Uga Buga” right as they were making their move, trying to distract them. Charles enjoyed teasing and playing with his grandchildren. He adored them and loved spending time with them. Near the last couple of weeks before he passed, he would still try to shoot a basketball with the grandkids, still try to make you laugh, and always concerned if you were ok, even though he was barely able to walk and was suffering in pain himself. Charles cherished his family, and they cherished him. He made his grandchildren his priority, and never failed to be there for them. Charles kept his sense of humor up until the day he left us.
Charles Ralph Fisher beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend entered this world on November 28, 1951. He returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on June 16, 2022, with his loving family all around him.
Charles was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2021, at that time he was only given one to six months to live. Because of Charles’s determination, we were able to keep him with us for ten months. Charles will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
He left behind his wife, Debra Allred Fisher of 53 years and his six children, his daughter, Chantell Marie Fisher O'Dell; son, Charles Chad Fisher; daughter, Carly Ann Fisher Felter married to Chad Gary Felter; son, Christopher Samuel Fisher; son, Daniel Richard Fisher married to Angeles Crespo Fisher; and son, Darick Henry Fisher married to Brittnee May Taylor Fisher. He also raised a granddaughter as if she was his own, Madison Riley Fisher. He left behind 27 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way. He had a special bond with each of them. Charles spent most of his life in the service of his family. He also left behind three sisters which he loved dearly, as much as they loved him, Marilyn Joyce Maestas, Judy Ann Zamora, and Mary Elizabeth Furlan and his Goddaughter, Yvette Kamakazikat. And many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Mary Lucero Fisher Hinojosa; his stepfather, Juan (Rufino) Hinojosa; and his father, Henry Meastas Fisher, who he loved very much.
