Chuck a loving husband and father passed away unexpectedly with his family by his side.

Chuck was born in San Bernardino California to Mary Judith Gericke Wheat. Chuck was very active in 4-H and Future Farmers of America.

Chuck graduated from Redlands High School in 1977, at which time he joined the US Marine Corps serving 10 years a Sergeant serving in the Military Police. Chuck then went on to work for the Yuma County Sheriff’s Dept. on the swat team in Arizona. Chuck moved to Missouri working as an in investigator for the Missouri prison system.

Chuck moved to Utah to be around family. Chuck loved shooting and  sharing his knowledge of firearms. Loved the outdoors and spending time with horses.

Chuck married his wife Mary RaeDel Clark on November 22, 2013.

Chuck is preceded in heaven by his stepson Harry Montoya and niece Dixie Dean Evans. Chuck is survived by his wife Mary Raedel Gericke, daughters Chey and grandsons Kayden and George Huyett and Samantha Gericke all from Missouri, stepdaughter Hope Davis and stepson James Valdez from Layton Utah, mother and father Tom and Judy Wheat from Beaumont, California, sister Becky Britton from Layton, Utah, nieces Judith Robalcava from Clearfield Utah and Candace Britton from Murray, Utah.

A celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Roy Bible Church, 5757 South 3100 West.  Please RSVP by the 19th by commenting to the tribute wall on this obituary page.
