Charles Carlos Moultrie
CLEARFIELD a" Charles Carlos Moultrie, 90, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born January 13, 1918 in Clarkston, Utah the son of Clarence Henry and Ada Manilla Palmer Moultrie.
Charles served in the Marines during World War II.
He married Bessie Talbot on February 11, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with a strong testimony of the Savior. As far as his family is concerned, "We were always in the presence of greatness." Charles and his wife were ordinance workers at the Ogden Temple for over 16 years.
Surviving are his wife Bessie, Clearfield; three sons, Tim (Kathy), Kaysville; Randy (Paula), Porterville; Brett (Connie), West Point; daughter, Myrna (Jim) McCowan, Layton; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, four brothers, Roy Moultrie, Keith Moultrie, Leo Moultrie, Gene Moultrie, three sisters, Vada Vorwaller, Noni Spanner and Norma Moody.
Preceded in death by his parents, Zella, Eva, Beatrice, Marvin, Wilford and Alfred.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Clearfield 4th Ward, 838 E. 600 So. Friends and family may call Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
