CLINTON a€" Charles William Pell, 88, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 at Country Pines Assisted Living.

He was born July 16, 1920 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Kelso and Dorothy C. Walkey Pell.

Charles married Mary J. Stephenson on November 26, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio. She preceded him in death on October 18, 1993. He married Ann Whitaker on December 9, 2003.

He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Charles retired from Hill Air Force Base and was President of the Senior Center.

He liked Bingo, Wendover, hunting, camping and was a gun collector.

Surviving is his wife Anne Pell, Cibolo, TX; two sons, Tony Pell, Salt Lake City; David Pell, Hinesburg, VT; two daughters, Patricia Rivera, West Haven; Pamela Hales, Hooper; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and brother, Ken Pell, Mentor, OH.

Preceded in death by his wife Mary Pell, son, Brian Pell, brother, Earl and sister, Jeanne.

Private graveside services will be held.
