Charles Henry Pemberton

NORTH OGDEN – Charles Henry Pemberton, 79, died Saturday, October 27, 2007 from complications of bypass surgery. He was born March 8, 1928 in Richmond, Virginia, a son of William Maurie and Grace Terriall Pemberton. On November 2, 1946, Charles married Lois Hamblin. They were married for 52 years before Lois preceded him in death on December 14, 1998. He was raised and educated in Virginia. He served with the U.S. Navy for four years. Charles worked for Hill Air Force Base, Eddy’s Bakery for 27 years, Anderson Lumber for 14 years and at the time of his death he was working for Wal-Mart in Riverdale. Surviving are his children, Barbara (Dave) Johnson, Clinton; Allen Ray (Sherry) Pemberton, Clearfield; Gary (Lori) Pemberton, Layton; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Ann Ramsdell, Kittery, ME; Betty Sue Epps, Richmond, VA; and one brother, William Pemberton, Richmond, VA. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lois, and son, Steven Pemberton. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
