Charles K Revell "Chuck" Charles K Revell passed away on August 17, 2013 at the age of 88.
He was born in Ogden, Utah on March 8, 1925 to Lettie (Walker) and Charles (Reveliotis) Revell. He was a veteran of WWII and served in Ie Shima, Okinawa, and Korea. He married Elaine (Foley), "the most beautiful girl in all of Ogden," in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 2, 1947. He held the office of High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was very proud of his pioneer heritage and enjoyed working on his family history.
He loved hunting, fishing, and camping and he enjoyed collecting and restoring guns and carving gun stocks. He also loved his job as a pharmacist; although he retired from Skaggs Drug, he continued to work part-time until the age of 84. He enjoyed traveling with his wife to many places, including Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Ireland, England, New Zealand, and his favorite, Greece--the homeland of his father. He was very proud of his Greek heritage and taught all of his grandchildren the Greek alphabet.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Foley Revell, his sister Carolyn (Revell) Murphy, and five of his six children: son Gregg (Marsha), daughter Charlene (Denis) Hill, daughter Pat Reineccius, daughter Jana (Stephen) Ehrlich, son Darren (Debi). He was "Grandpa Chuck" to 20 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Phillip K Revell (Lois), his sister Elaine Sampson (Eliot) and son, Gary Wade Revell.
Chuck brought a warm greeting and a smile to everyone he met and liked to make friends wherever he went. His unconditional love and laughter will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and loved ones.
Two memorial services will be held; the first on Saturday, August 24th, 2013 at the LDS Stake Center on 100 North Dixie Drive, St. George, Utah at 11:00 AM. Friends may call one hour prior to services. The second service will be held on Saturday, August 31st, 2013 at the LDS Chapel on 2550 South Davis Blvd, Bountiful, Utah at 11:00 AM. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be postponed until a later date. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary.
