Charles (Chuck) Stillman

August 25, 1953 — August 31, 2018

LAYTON – Charles (Chuck) Keith Stillman, 65, was called back home on Friday August 31, 2018 after a long hard fight against lung disease as well as other illnesses.  Chuck was born in Drexill Hill, Pennsylvania to Leonard and Juanita Stillman, the third of five children on August 25, 1953.

Chuck graduated from Orem High School in 1971.  He served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the North Germany Mission from 1972 to 1974.  He married his soulmate Evelyn Colette Winters for time and all eternity on April 18, 1975 in the Salt Lake Temple, the best day of his life.  They are the proud parents of nine children, four boys and five girls of whom he loved with all his heart.

Dad always had a thirst for knowledge and was always researching and learning new things.  Some of his favorite hobbies include anything to do with  woodworking, science, chemistry, the Gospel, and photography.  Dad was a HUGE Star Trek fan (Trekkie to a T).  He loved being a member of the Church and served in many different capacities.  He loved being a ward mission leader, serving others, and home teaching.

Chuck is preceded in death by his loving parents (Leonard Sr. and Juanita), a father -in-law (Norman R. Winters), two brothers-in-law (Kep Kennedy) ,  (Norman B. Winters), and a sister-in-law (Jerrye Stillman).  He is survived by his amazing wife, Colette (babe) and his children Jason (Shelli), Jared, Wendy Harper (Dallas), Brandon, Megan Bahrt (Daniel), Callie, Shantelle Blake (Brian), Erinn, Adam (Kayleen) along with 22 grandchildren all of whom love and adore him.  He is also survived by a brother Leonard Stillman, Jr. and his sisters; Linda Kennedy, Tina (Todd) Savage, and Cindy Trevillian.

As a family we would like to thank Davis Hospital, the doctors and ICU staff that took such great care of him as if he was one of their own.  We would also like to thank family, friends and members of the Layton 4th Ward.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Layton 4th Ward, 1480 Phillips St., Kaysville, Utah.  Friends may visit family Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Lehi Cemetery, 1525 N. 600 E., Lehi, Utah.
